CMR Foundation
The Clara M. Robinson Foundation, Inc. (CMRF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2018 by DaShawn and Nicole Robinson in memory of their grandmother Clara Mae Robinson who passed away July 2017, after battling breast cancer for many years.
Clara’s battle with breast cancer took a toll on her as well as on her loved ones who cared for and eventually lost her to this disease.
We are dedicated to providing support, resources, and services to individuals and families affected by breast cancer. Our intentions are to help the people and families battling breast cancer on a day to day basis. CMRF would like to relieve as much stress as possible from the individuals and the family members in anyway we can so they can focus on what matters most, their lives and happiness.
Clara M. Robinson was born on Feb 13th, 1939. Born in Birmingham, AL and raised in Greensboro, NC she made her way to Norwalk, CT in 1960.
She was a prominent part of her community for 57 years. Anyone that knew Clara knew she was a no nonsense straight forward woman with a big heart who touched many people’s lives in many ways. She not only raised her children but she raised 2 of her grandchildren as well.
Clara was a very strong woman, so when she got the news that she had breast cancer she felt that she could conquer this disease by herself. It took her to get to the point of needing surgery before she told her grandchildren. Being that it took Clara so long to get the surgery the cancer spread to other parts of her body.
Even though she lived with breast cancer for many years and she fought as long as she could, she eventually lost the fight on July 25, 2017. Clara M. Robinson was truly one of a kind and was loved by many and will forever be missed.
